Romy Cahyadi to Serve as Indonesia Impact Alliance Chairperson

With the growing recognition of impact investing as a critical driver for sustainable development in Indonesia, multiple stakeholders join forces to establish Indonesia Impact Alliance as an effort to accelerate the growth of impact investing in the country. The iniative was officially launched on May 10 2023 with Romy Cahyadi, CEO of Instellar, to serve in the Board of Directors as Indonesia Impact Alliance Chairperson.

IIA is a collaborative effort among capital providers, intermediaries, ecosystem builders, government representatives, and domestic and international organizations with the aim to create a blended finance facility for early stage impact investment. IIA believes that unlocking the early stage impact investment will create a workable solution, then to send a strong signal to the market and the government of the growing impact investment market. IIA also believes that use of blended finance can help to mitigate the risk of investing in challenging environments, encourage private sector investment, and unlock new sources of capital for social and environmental projects.

With the support from the Ford Foundation, Instellar is among the the organizations actively involved in IIA along with Angel Investment Network Indonesia (ANGIN), Seedstars International Ventures, Patamar Capital, and United Nation Development Program (UNDP).
