Five Green Startups in Bali Embark Transformative Journey  with HATCH x PEDE Incubation Programme

The HATCH x PEDE Incubation Programme for Bali has officially kicked off with the Onboarding Programme which was held on August 15-16, 2024. This event marked the beginning of a transformative journey for five innovative green startups: Daurulang.id, Umah Pupa, Electric Wheel, Biojel, and Patala.

Over the course of two days, our new Bali cohort of 5 green innovators gathered together to lay the groundwork for the activities that lie ahead in the three-month incubation programme. During this time, they will explore their business ideas, uncovering collaboration opportunities, and addressing challenges head-on. With a series of workshops and mentorship sessions in this incubation programme, they will build skills in strategic planning, operational execution, and growth hacking, all aimed at scaling up their business game to a higher scale and impact.

On the first day of the Onboarding Programme, Fajar Anugrah, Head of Business Development at Terratai, led an insightful workshop titled “Innovating to Elevate Through a Sustainable Business Growth Strategy.” This session was designed to help green innovators gain a deeper understanding of their business models and develop actionable plans by focusing on key priorities through a value proposition canvas.

 

The day also featured a reflective activity where participants revisited their motivations and goals for building a social enterprise. Setting aside their roles  ‘startup leaders,’ they reassessed their personal and professional aspirations to ensure alignment with their current situation. Sharing their stories helped foster a supportive community among them, laying the foundation for collaboration and mutual support throughout the incubation period and beyond.

The second day began with a Collaboration Board Session, where green innovators showcased their businesses’ unique characteristics to explore potential collaboration. This collaborative discussion helped them identify their business goals, positioning, challenges, and the support they need. This then continued with a valuable sharing session, “Access to Funding for Startups” led by Rizky Anugrah, Head of Enterprise Development at Instellar. Rizky provided insights into how startups can access funding, offering practical advice to help participants navigate the funding landscape.
