I-SEA Programme Brings Together 10 Social Enterprises for Cohort 3

7 October 2025

Jakarta, 26 September 2025 – Instellar and IKEA Social Entrepreneurship are once again joining forces to support social innovation in Indonesia through I-SEA Cohort 3, a one-year acceleration programme designed to help social enterprises strengthen their business capacity and expand their positive impact.

This year, ten inspiring social enterprises from across the country, spanning nature-based solutions, textiles, and circular economy, have been selected to join the programme. Each of them brings a visionary solution to some of Indonesia’s most pressing social and environmental challenges.

A Transformative Start with Bootcamp

The journey kicked off with a three-day bootcamp (24–26 September 2025), where the participants had the opportunity to reflect on their mission, revisit their challenges, and develop innovative solutions. Through sessions with IKEA experts and employees, they gained deeper insights into IKEA’s values and culture, refined their business plans, and built meaningful collaborations with fellow changemakers.

Unlike previous years, I-SEA Cohort 3 also welcomes traditional businesses that are beginning their transition towards becoming socially responsible enterprises. This shift reflects I-SEA’s mission to not only strengthen existing social enterprises but also encourage more businesses to embed sustainability into their core operations.

A Collaborative Commitment to Greater Impact

Romy Cahyadi, CEO of Instellar Impact, shared,

We are delighted to welcome ten more social entrepreneurs to I-SEA cohort 3. We have successfully identified changemakers with brilliant and visionary ideas to solve various problems in their communities. Through the I-SEA program, we hope to continue supporting these changemakers’ journeys to strengthen their businesses while simultaneously expanding their social impact to more people, especially by improving the well-being of their beneficiaries.

Åsa Skogström Feldt, Managing Director IKEA Social Entrepreneurship B.V., added,

We are very excited to welcome the ten selected social entrepreneurs to the second cohort of I-SEA. The social and environmental challenges we face today need to be addressed at multiple levels. At IKEA Social Entrepreneurship, we believe in the power of social entrepreneurs to create long-term change. The diverse initiatives in this cohort, from sustainable agriculture to innovative plastic recycling, demonstrate the positive impact they can have on communities, well-being, and the environment. We look forward to supporting them and learning from these changemakers on their journey of improvement.
