Du’Anyam is a social enterprise that provides alternative employment for pregnant women in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Indonesia. This is achieved by leveraging an existing skill, wicker weaving and building relationship between weaving community and consumers for the production and sale of handmade wicker products. Du’Anyam negotiates with corporate customers (e.g., hotels) for a fixed amount of purchases to ensure constant, sustainable income for the cooperative. Du’anyam will also collaborate with health workers to promote maternal health education and oversee production and supply chain operations.
