Alner, one of 10 social enterprises participating in Instellar & IKEA Social Entrepreneurship Indonesia Accelerator (I-SEA), just announced a collaboration project with Unilever to promote the Single-Use Plastic Free movement.
The partnership was made possible by grant from Transform to test innovative refill options for FMCG products targeting the lower middle class.
Alner helps realize sustainability in everyday life by providing refill models for three of Unilever’s top products, namely Sunlight, Wipol and Rinso Professional.
As a startup providing reusing systems for Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) product packaging, Alner has reduced more than 1,300 kg of plastic waste in Indonesia.
Through the initiative with Transform, Alner hopes to build a strong track record in empowering micro-enterprises and increasing sales points from up to 500 points in Jakarta and its surroundings by the end of 2023.
