Blue Finance Accelerator (BFA) is a six-month accelerator supporting startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) working to address challenges across Indonesia’s blue economy. Presented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the program was implemented by Instellar Impact in collaboration with the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment and United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
Instellar Impact provided tailored business and impact support through expert mentoring, capacity building, and access to networks and financing opportunities. Selected from 187 applications, the 12 participating ventures worked across areas including sustainable fisheries and aquaculture, plastic pollution, marine ecosystem management, and coastal community resilience.
