Supporting the Social Enterprises Ecosystem, Hyundai Motor Group Launches Hyundai Start-up Challenge Indonesia 2021

Hyundai Motor Group officially launches Hyundai Start-up Challenge Indonesia 2021.Hyundai Start-up Challenge Indonesia 2021 is an accelerating program and challenge competition which aims to discover and nurture young social entrepreneurs with innovative ideas and creative solutions to education, employment, and environmental problems.This is the 2nd program where Hyundai Motor Group successfully initiating Hyundai Start-up Challenge Indonesia 2020 last year. Promotion of Hyundai Start-up Challenge Indonesia 2021 was conducted by Hyundai Motor Group through Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia together with

the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and participants of Baparekraf for Startup (BEKUP) on Monday, 10th of May 2021 in Mulia Hotel Jakarta. The event was attended by Muhammad Neil El Himam, Deputy Chairman of Digital Economy and Creative Products, Selliane Halia Ishak, Director for Digital Economy Governance, and Kanghyun Lee, Vice President of Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Indonesia. 

Hyundai Motor Group will work with Impact Alliance, Crevisse, Instellar, and Indonesia Creative City Network in managing Hyundai Start-up Challenge Indonesia 2021. Hyundai Start-up Challenge Indonesia 2021 itself is a commitment of Hyundai Motor Group in supporting the development of social enterprises in Indonesia. Carrying the slogan of “The Better, The Bigger Impact”, Hyundai Motor Group stimulates the knowledge and skills of young social entrepreneurs to deliver a bigger impact for Indonesian people through their respective business.

Hyundai Start-up Challenge Indonesia 2021 will select 15 teams where each team will receive a $6,500 grant to develop their business during the program. Each team will also get interactive business classes and expert mentors during the acceleration phase. The Demoday and Awarding ceremony in October 2021 will be the final phase of Hyundai Start-up Challenge 2021 where top 3 performing teams will be selected as the winners and are eligible to receive a total prize of $45,500 as well as an opportunity to pitch their business in South Korea.
