SEED Replicator Workshop in Yogyakarta
Around 30 participants from circular economy and agriculture sectors joined SEED Replicator Workshop in Yogyakarta last week. During the two-day workshop, participants deep dived into the business models and toolkits used by real-world eco-inclusive enterprises then used them as reference for their own business.
Day 1
On Friday, 18 November 2022, the SEED Replicator participants worked on their Business Ideas where they brainstormed, discussed, prototyped, and learned about Lean Enterprise Blueprint. This blueprint is aimed to help the participants understand which aspects they require to figure out in order to be successful, work out the critical aspects of their business ideas, and identify the right resources they need for the business.
Day 2
The next day, the participants discovered more about business models: what are the business models that have proven to be worked? After learning the best practices, they brainstormed which ones they could adapt to their business models. The last session on this day was the Replication Pitch, where the participants practiced pitching their proposals to potential partners.
Celebrating 20 years of promoting a sustainable future together
Twenty years ago, SEED was launched by UNEP, UNDP and IUCN at the World Sustainable Development Summit in Johannesburg with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship for sustainable development. At the time, there was little attention paid to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and their role in delivering sustainability. Ever since, SEED has set out to increase awareness and to advocate for the recognition of the critical role played by SMEs as a key pillar for development, social cohesion, and environmental protection. Over its 20 years, SEED has supported over 2,000 enterprises and trained more than 500 business development providers across 41 countries, as well as engaged with 950 organisations in Latin America & the Pacific, Africa, and Asia.
To celebrate SEED’s 20th anniversary in Indonesia, Instellar organized a small celebration after the workshop where we’re joined by SEED Enterprise speakers Nissa Nurrohmah of Komodo Water, Noryawati Mulyono of Biopac, and Tungga Dewi of Perfect Fit, as well as ecosystem stakeholders Andhika Mahardika of Agradaya, Atin Saraswati and Tiara of Indmira, Denny Wijayanto, Dyah Pitaloka Putri Sutanto, Haidar Rais Darmawan, and Maisy Pramaisella of Innovative Academy UGM, Diah Nur Indah Yuliana and Victor Pundhi Anugrah of El Samara Coworking Space, Lastiana Yuliandari of Aliet Green, and Rafiqa Jamil Aziz of Butik Daur Ulang Project B Indonesia.
